CYNTHIA BALES:  HRD (Land and Water)

Cynthia has been working HRD dogs since Oct 2003, starting out with a trained dog (Jake choc lab) attending Basic Handler School with American Society of Canine Trainers (ASCT).  After Certification with K9 Jake, she wanted to do Water Recovery and began attending Old Dominion K9 Seminars and later Certified in Water Recovery through ASCT. Cynthia joined Black Diamond Search and Rescue Council in 2009 and certified 2 dogs for Land HRD through VDEM. She is currently working her 4th dog, K9 Ecko, training for Water Recovery and recently passed the VDEM Shoreline requirements (2019) for Water Recovery Type II and will be working toward obtaining Water Recovery Type I.
