NINA SOROCHYNSKYJ:  Mantrailing

Nina has been involved in SAR since 2009, and currently serves as Assistant Chief of Northeast Search and Rescue (NESAR).  She has trained and certified four of her own SAR K9s.  Her current working partners are K9 Sophie (Trailing) and K9 Kevlar (HRD).  She also has experience training & working bed bug dogs professionally in NYC.  Nina is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), specializing in pet dog training and service dogs.  She currently works with two prison programs, providing in-person instruction to inmates paired with shelter dogs or purpose-bred service dog puppies.  She also holds membership/licensing with the International Police Work Dog Association (IPWDA), the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), Family Paws Parent Education, and is a certified Fear Free Trainer & AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.  Nina has been volunteering her services at her local animal shelter and local 4-H Dog Obedience program since 2015.  At the end of the day - she enjoys being able to help dog handlers and their canine partners form a better bond, communicate better, have fun and be a more efficient and effective team - be it for SAR, service or pet.
